Description
This sunset in Bali was off the charts. The sky was awash in a variety of pinks, oranges, and yellows, from the most intense to the most pastel, which I tried to express in this painting. The sun's reflection on the water was blinding and its light was so bright that it almost hurt to look at. The water was calm, but I used sweeping brushstrokes to give the impression of movement and texture. The horizon was marked in a violet tone, which totally contrasted with the vibrant colors of the sky and create a sense of depth. When I contemplate this artwork, I can still feel the chill vibes of that moment.
